- Born in Harare, Zimbabwe.
#### **2004, Age 10**
- Moved to Brisbane, Australia. Disengaged at school but discovered entrepreneurship by selling Pokémon cards.
#### **2011, Age 17**
- Graduated high school and started a gardening business with my best friend.
#### **2012, Age 18**
- Began a Bachelor of Business Management at the University of Queensland.
- Co-founded GetXperience, a platform connecting students with volunteer roles (ran for 6 months before closing).
#### **2014, Age 20**
- Became CEO and co-founder of an English pronunciation software company.
- Raised seed funding from Telstra and spent the year in Beijing, Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and Singapore building partnerships.
- Named Australian National Champion at the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards and represented Australia in Washington, DC.
#### **2015, Age 21**
- After a fallout with my co-founders, I returned to university to finish my studies and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Founded **CYALA (Council for Young Africans Living Abroad)**, a social enterprise developing future African leaders.
- Became a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.
#### **2016, Age 22**
- Began an Honours (research) degree and expanded CYALA to four cities, growing a 30+ person volunteer team.
- Organised Australia’s first National African Youth Conference (120 delegates, $30,000 AUD raised).
#### **2017, Age 23**
- Graduated with first-class Honours and was named valedictorian of the business school (GPA 6.6/7).
- Appointed to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s Advisory Council.
#### **2018, Age 24**
- Accepted into a fully funded PhD at the University of Queensland.
- Joined the board of a Brisbane healthcare non-profit and consulted for YLab on regional education projects.
#### **2019, Age 25**
- First academic paper won three international Best Paper Awards.
- Appointed to the Queensland Government’s Multicultural Advisory Council and became Chair of Global Shapers Australia Charity.
#### **2021, Age 27**
- Published first academic journal article in the Journal of Business Venturing, a leading entrepreneurship journal.
- Appointed as a Lecturer/Assistant Professor role at the University of Edinburgh.
#### **2022, Age 28**
- Graduated from PhD programme.
- Expanded into blockchain and NFTs, co-developing DAOs and NFT projects generating $1m USD in sales.
- Moved to Edinburgh and began as Lecturer/Assistant Professor.
#### **2023, Age 29**
- PhD dissertation won the Mollie Holman Medal (top dissertation at Monash Business Faculty and 1 of the top 10 university-wide).
- Won a Teaching Excellence Award at the University of Edinburgh Business School.
- Appointed to the board of the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS).
#### **2024, Age 30**
- Appointed by the Cabinet Secretary to the board of Historic Environment Scotland (HES) and became a member of the Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee.
- Won two Excellence in Teaching Awards at the University of Edinburgh Business School.
#### **2025, Age 31**
- Co-lead for the team awarded £41,499 from the Wellcome Trust’s InFrame Culture Catalyst Fund for Improving Policy Leadership (IPoL): a cross-college initiative at the University of Edinburgh aimed at developing research cultures that are more externally engaged and impactful.
